I do most of the legwork for my digital art in Photoshop CS3. My line art, however, I do in Manga Studio EX4. All of my coloring, painting, sketching, formatting, etc is in Photoshop :)

I haven’t been posting too much lately because I’ve been working on my submission for the Sleep of Reason anthology! I’m pretty sure Spike is gonna kickstart it next month (June).

I’ll have a few more teasers to show you closer to that date, but for now, I’m just focusing on getting this sucker done! Based on what I’ve seen of everyone’s sketches, and the work of the other contributors, I’m basically positive this is gonna be the coolest dang anthology. I’d buy it, if I weren’t already in it. Hell, maybe I’ll buy it anyway.

Yeah, so like, I dunno. More of this thing. Benito!!! His momma taught him to dress right. He doesnt usually dress this nice for gang related activities, though, so somebody is probably catching him at a bad time.

Here’s another thing I’m working on, currently. On the side. It’s probably going to take over my life in about a month.

For the past few years, every five months or so, I’ve been going through this huge 80’s anime, dystopia, Akira, kowloon city, tatsuyuki tanaka thing. And I figure, it probably won’t go away until I actually DO something about it, right? So… characters are forming themselves in my head, and even a plot, too. This isn’t gonna be art or anything, but it’s gonna be damn fun.

Naturally, while I’m working on my Sleep of Reason submission (and trying to come up with a new name for harbinger) I have been doing a LOT of this on the side. Lately I’ve just been calling it DYST. I already have the first few pages thumbnailed (the first, above, is already in progress).

Main character is a 16 yr old kid called some really cool tough name like Goblin or Dogtooth or Crash, haven’t decided yet. But his real name is Benito Guillermo de la Cruz, and only his granny can call him that. And for gods sake don’t let him catch you calling him Benny, either

This is probably as far as I’m gonna go with this one!!!...
