I haven’t done a heads up here because, well, you guys have already seen pages 1&2—but I’ve posted page 3! check it out, if you dare

And with this, I would like to announce the new title of the comic formerly known as The Defector! I’ve done a lot of work on the story since I started it a little over a year ago, and it was a tough choice, and a lot of people didn’t want me to do it, but I’ve decided to restart it with the entirely new (and way better, I think) story. It was the first time I’d drawn a comic past twenty pages, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to do comics. It will suck. I promise you that, and I also promise you that you will learn so much more than you ever will by prolonging it until “you’re ready”. With that said, I’m pretty confident that this will be the only reboot you will see from me! More on this to follow, but i can tell you to look for new pages in April. I’ll know the exact date in a couple weeks.

As for the chapter cover, this is something I’ve never really dabbled in, but I had a great deal of fun and will do more of this type of thing in the future! I was unsure about using Harbinger as the title of the comic. I’ve loved the word for years (I’d say that that’s a weird thing, but I’m sure there are others like me with favorite words) and so when I used it as a mock-title and played with typography, when it fell together so well, I sort of took it as a sign. I wanna do more with type, but it’s hard when you are allergic to Adobe Illustrator…

This will be available as a post card and as a fine art print, both at MoCCA, and I’ll also sell the leftovers online.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a comic update here. Work in real life has tripled so I haven’t had time to do quality updates, so I’ve officially scaled back the updates to once a week indefinitely. I’ve been wanting to up the art-related ante for a while, so this may be a good opportunity to do so.
